Resort

The Saksida tourist farm is located in the heart of the Vipava Valley, in the village of Zalošče, where the Vipava Valley, the Karst region, Goriška Brda and the Trnovo Plateau come together. Being located in a wine-growing district allows the owners to maintain a long tradition of attachment to vineyards and winemaking, and offers visitors total relaxation in unspoilt nature.

Swimming pool and campsite

In addition to mobile homes, the campsite also offers motorhome pitches for everyone who likes to travel around in recreational vehicles. The resort has a small pool with deck chairs, a sunbathing area, outdoor shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a well-maintained picnic area. Free wireless internet service is available at the resort.

Cuisine

The tourist farm has a restaurant, where you will be served authentic Vipava delicacies. The focus is on fresh home-grown food and Mediterranean spices, which give a touch of excellence and modernity, and on excellent wines produced in their own vineyards. The restaurant can accommodate up to 40 guests, and in the warmer months you can enjoy a meal in the garden shaded by grapevines.

Sights and Trips

The Vipava Valley offers many natural, cultural and historical sights, so it is an excellent starting point for day trips. We recommend visiting nearby cities and towns: Vipava, Ajdovščina, Nova Gorica, Trieste, Ljubljana, Koper, Portorož, Piran, Kobarid, and taking a sightseeing tour of world-renowned natural sights such as Lipica, Postojna Cave, Škocjan Caves, Goriška Brda and the Soča Valley.

Eco-friendly campsite

In 2018, the resort obtained the "Ecocamping" eco-friendly label. The goal is to promote activities aimed at improving environmental protection, safety and quality at the campsite while striving to create a green space. Out of respect for nature, they use reusable packaging, conserve water, use natural cleaning materials, separate waste, etc. They also invite their visitors to follow in their example.

Saksida Wines

The family tradition of viticulture has a long history. They have been in the winemaking business since the middle of the 19th century. Their love of wine led to the renovation and replanting of vineyards with a focus on indigenous vine varieties, the modernization of the wine cellar and the marketing of their own brand. They offer top quality white and red wines, sparkling wines as well as cognac and spirits.

Hiking

The resort lies in a natural setting surrounded by undulating hills, steep slopes and beautiful vistas. If you are a fan of hiking, you will love the many hiking trails of varying difficulty. During your active leisure, you will get to know the charms of the Vipava Valley, the many natural and historical sights and friendly people.

Cycling

Cycling is the best way to get to know the Vipava Valley. There are many not-too-demanding yet picturesque and well-maintained cycling trails that are suitable for beginners and families in any season. E-bikes, mountain bikes and motor scooters can be rented at the campsite's bike garage. You can hire a qualified guide at the campsite or ask the staff to help you choose the best route.

Adrenaline sport

The nature of the landscape is well suited to adrenaline activities such as paragliding and hang gliding as well as parachute jumping and tandem skydiving. You can go climbing up ravines or visit the adrenaline park next to the Soča River, where you can test your obstacle course skills and go zip lining. If you really want to test your courage you can even jump off a bridge.

Water sports

The village of Zalošče is a stone's throw from the Vipava River, which has a gentle flow that offers family fun with less adrenaline, like boating or stand-up paddle boarding. Thrill seekers will likely prefer the Soča River, which offers unique kayaking, rafting or canyoning experience. Both rivers offer the chance to go fishing, and fishermen can also visit the Vogršček Reservoir.

Playgrounds for children

The campsite has a swimming pool suitable for children of all ages. The area offers plenty of space to explore and play in a natural setting. Children have a variety of playground equipment to choose from.
